For a company that has a motto of "changing Lives", they can do better. May failed decisions were made and once the aftermath of that happened, coupled with the decline in enrollments due to the sub par reviews they get, they started doing mass layoffs with zero notice.Ģ00 people, little to no notice were let go. The pandemic brought a lot of students which meant more revenue and that is where I think it went south. This used to be a good company to work for. To very quickly touch on one last, yet important, point. Rest assured these efforts will continue. As a current employee, you know that process is already underway through regular town hall meetings and also through more outreach from managers and leadership to multiple departments and groups of employees to better understand what is working well, and where we might improve. But we do agree we could improve and amplify the level of communication to all employees. We don’t agree “Apathetic and uncommunicative” accurately describes management at M圜C.
We love them, we value them, and we will continue to support them. We fully understand how this impacts a number of value-driven, hard-working M圜C family members.
Please know, this decision was ultimately made after much review, thought, deliberation, and emotion from our entire leadership team. While our enrollment remains steady, and while our analysis indicates this steady enrollment will continue, without the bump that drove record enrollment numbers this step was necessary. Unfortunately, as 2021 progressed into 2022, our enrollment numbers normalized to pre-pandemic levels. To thoughtfully and effectively meet the needs of these additional students, we added additional team members. We experienced a COVID-enrollment bump in early- to mid-2020 behind the strength of our Live Online program offerings. Regarding the reduction in our workforce, here are a few details that we think are important to share. Some of what you’re saying here we understand, and some of what you’re saying here is just incorrect.
